I have been promising myself for the past few years I would “seriously” race during the cyclocross season and I finally did.

I warmed up the 2008-09 season with Soil Saloon races in Golden Gate Park. The DFL series followed also in Golden Gate Park in September & October. I also raced Lions in Farifax, CA which I did very well dispite the heat. But my end goal was to race in the Bay Area Super Prestige Series, especially after years of standing on the sidelines drinking beer. I raced in Mens Cat C and finish 20th overall in the series. This isn’t bad considering Simone was born a month before the first race. I literally rolled up, raced and was back at home to change diapers at 10AM.
I’m looking forward to the 2009 season and hope to do some more Mountain bike and Cyclo-cross racing.

The new year brought some sad news about some of my favorite websites

Last January Jenny Oh put a call out for anyone who wanted to join her on Flickr group, Ride365, to document riding your bicycle everyday in 2008. It was my first 365 group and felt up for the challenge. I was able to document most of 2008 but some events, like the birth of my daughter and extended traveling, caused me to miss a few days.

Its been many years since I’ve blogged on a regular basis and I had it on my to do list for 2008. So now I can cross it of the list.

It has been a very busy year our first child was born, a beautiful healthy daughter. Started a new job at a great company. Completed alot of creative projects, but also started many and hope to finish them in 2009.
